Skellefteå is situated on the coast of the baltic sea, only 55 minutes north of Stockholm. To travel here, you have several possibilities. And when arrived, you measure distance in steps.
If you prefer travelling while sleeping, eating, reading or socializing you can choose the train, airplane or bus. Seeing the landscape passing outside the train is one way to experience our part of the world. If you want to travel with higher speed, airplanes arrive and depart several times per day. Buses ply the majority of roads and from Stockholm the night-bus along the Swedish east coast is an alternative. If you drive your own car the European route E4 stretches all through Sweden, passing Skellefteå.
Getting to Skellefteå
NEW! Barcelona - Skellefteå direct flight with Ryanair. Two airlines frequent Skellefteå – choose the times that best suit your itinerary. It takes about one hour from Stockholm and you can take the airport bus or airport taxi to and from the airport. Check in is 30 minutes before departure and connections for all departures, except on Saturday when there is no bus service.

Getting around in Skellefteå
Simple. Public transportation is wide spread and the central bus station is in the centre of town. For more independent transport, choose between renting a car, bike, scooter, water scooter or why not take a taxi.
